How to setup Multi Factor Authentication
Setting up Multi Factor Authentication for your Office 365 Suite of products.
Keeping your data secure.
Once Multi Factor Authentication is enabled (By ICT Services) you will be prompted for more information on your next login to any web browser, the screen will look like the below :
Hit NEXT then change the options to mirror the below,
ie : Mobile App and Use verification code
NB: You can see there are other options but these are the ones we recommend, this is especially relevant to pupils that may have more than one SIM for their phones, if you enter a UK number and are abroad using a different SIM you will not be able to access any of your files because your number will not work.
You will then see this screen : Using the Microsoft Authenticator App which you will need to have installed on your smart phone scan to add the account. ( If it gives you the option choose ‘Work or School Account’ ).
NOTE : If you have an android phone you may need to press ‘Configure App with notifications’ before this will work correctly. iPhone users do not.

It will then finish by asking you to enter a backup number, no one will have access to this number except you.
